Artist Statement
I chose these words because I think that they symbolize the hardships and obstacles that the U.S. soldiers faced in Vietnam. I put the Tet Offensive as the biggest the thing because it was probably the turning point of the war for the north Vietnamese. I chose these colors because the background symbolizes the forest and the plant life that lives in Vietnam. The orange colors represent the chemicals that were dropped by the U.S. These chemicals ravaged the forests and towns of Vietnam. This is their legacy.

When Agent Orange is sprayed it is used as a weed killer to kill all the vegetation so that the soldiers can actually fight. The effects of having Agent Orange are having birth defects. When the spray is sprayed the vegetation eaten will cause a lot of pain while it is being digested.
